i’m sick and tired of scribbling your name
on a crumpled paper napkin,
six days old with a ketchup stain
i am sick and tired of being nothing but a name
on a first-term class register
you have torn up on your backpack
so you can draw lazy emo hearts
around the wrong girl’s name
i’m sick of being lonely
and these words are not the same
without you here beside me
let me explain — i can try to explain
once in my imagination
you rounded the corner drunk on wine and memories
and i was there, i took you home
